Public meetings this week: CRA, HRPB, Tree Board and a scheduled Special City Commission meeting.

First a quick question: Are you thinking about Hurricane Season next year?

Probably not. But you’ll be happy to learn the City of Lake Worth is.

Tomorrow, scheduled the second Tuesday of every month, the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) meets at The HATCH, 1121 Lucerne Ave. at 6:00. As yet there is no agenda available.

Then on Wednesday the Historic Resource Preservation Board (HRPB) meets in Lake Worth City Hall at 6:00. To look over the agenda click on this link and scroll down for the December 12th “Agenda Package” to download.

And then on Thursday the City’s Tree Board meets in the City Hall conference room at 5:30. The Tree Board agenda should be available tomorrow. Hopefully on the Tree Board agenda will be an item for discussion on why there are no meeting minutes available for the public since last February.

Of special note is the City’s annual Tree Festival is just a little over two months away. The Tree Board will need volunteers and will be seeking vendors as well. This will be a topic of discussion on Thursday.

Also on Thursday will be the scheduled Special City Commission meeting to set the ballot for March 12th, 2019 municipal elections and referenda. There will be two referendum questions sent to the PBC Supervisor of Elections and the candidates announced in the District 2 and 4 races.
