An excerpt about the Palm Beach County PACE program for senior citizens:
The program operates in West Palm Beach and Delray Beach, and a third location will be opening a location at Temple Beth Tikvah, located at 4550 Jog Road in Greenacres. The opening is expected for the first quarter of 2019, according to the organization.
“The older population in our area is growing fast and steadily,” said program director Paola Wierzbicki. “Many don’t qualify for assistance or are reluctant to leave their homes and move into a nursing facility. In these situations, health care needs are not properly met and a huge burden falls on the family caregiver.”
