I took a drive up to the beach Friday afternoon and captured these pictures. Below you will see a group of people trying to navigate the main walkway from the lower parking lot to the PEDESTRIAN ACCESS leading to the actual beach. I say "navigate" since the walkway was covered by water from some unknown source (this was before any of yesterday's rain)
You can check out the video of these girls trying to negotiate the water covered path.

Lake Worth officials to discuss federal grant use
Last chance to get your thoughts heard on allocation of CDBG monies for FY 2012-13. Previous meetings have been sparsely attended. The meeting is tonight at the Golf Course Clubhouse from 6 to 8 p.m. The City Commission will have a special meeting on Thursday (4/12 @ 6 p.m., Commission Chambers) when they will consider the recommendations. Detours begin for sewerage project
More diverted traffic, this time from the north, will force more traffic into downtown Lake Worth across the Lake Worth Bridge. And since this also deals with southbound traffic on A1A in Palm Beach being diverted to the Southern Boulevard bridge, it will likely mean more traffic on Dixie Hwy. This is in addition to traffic diverted from Lantana's Ocean Avenue bridge. I know that when I ride my bike along my favorite route, I routinely must wait 5 to 10 minutes until I can cross Lucerne - Lake does not seem as bad, depending on the time of day.
