And expect “MoM” to be a topic of discussion starting tomorrow:
Minutes, also known as minutes of meeting (abbreviation MoM) . . . [A]re the instant written record of a meeting or hearing. They typically describe the events of the meeting and may include a list of attendees, a statement of the issues considered by the participants, and related responses or decisions for the issues.
First up, the Finance Advisory Board (FAB) meets tomorrow (Mon., Nov. 5th). The fabulously FAB meets the first Monday of each month, 6:00, in the City Hall conference room:
Members serve to promote transparency in the City’s budget process and allow for additional citizen input on major financial decisions.
There are NO MINUTES from any fabulously FAB board meeting this year. No minutes at all in 2018 going all the way back to January.
Did the fabulously FAB meet in October? Maybe or maybe not. Maybe that information will be on Monday’s agenda. But as yet there is no agenda for the meeting on Monday. Typically scheduled meeting agendas need to be made public two business days prior. So the fabulously FAB agenda should have been posted last Thursday on the City’s website.
And there is a Tree Board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 8th. The Tree Board agenda is usually posted 2–3 days prior to the public meetings held at 5:30 in the City Hall conference room. However, the last minutes posted from the Tree Board are from January. No minutes from any meetings since last February.
So as we await more information from the
fabulously FAB and the Tree Board. . .
Note the regularly scheduled meeting of the City Commission on Tuesday, Nov. 6th has been cancelled.
The next meeting of the Commission will be on Nov. 13th and there will be a major item on the Commission agenda: Second Reading of Ordinance 2018-17 which was front page news in this week’s Lake Worth Herald.
And below is more information “Worth Noting”:
