It’s always interesting to follow the political committees that form in Palm Beach County in the lead-up to an election and anyone can check out the latest by visiting the PBC Supervisor of Elections (SOE) website.
However, to learn more about a political committee other than what is on the website you need to visit the SOE in person at 240 S. Military Trail in suburban West Palm Beach on Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m.–5:00. Walk in, go to the counter and ask to see the file for the political committee you are interested in learning more about.
The political committee called “Vote Yes for Our Kids and Teachers” officially began on September 8th and since forming has only received two contributions.
However, those two contributions total $70K.
- September 28th: $20,000 from the Public Education Defense Fund, Inc., 213 S Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32201
- October 8th: $50,000 from the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, 555 New Jersey Avenue, N.W., Washington D.C. 20001
So one would expect to see a lot of yard signs out there with a message saying something like this: “Vote Yes for Our Kids and Teachers” in Palm Beach County.
