"We’re not Boca! And 5 other things WPB developers say"

Alexandra Clough at the Real Time blog has this very interesting article. Here is a short excerpt:
Before 300 Urban Land Institute attendees, developers said the city they should stop being jealous of what it doesn’t have: executive-ready mansions and plentiful cheap office space. Instead, it should start crowing about what it does have: A cool, funky vibe. [emphasis added]
“We don’t want to be Boca,” said Frank Navarro, president of Navarro Lowrey, which plans a hotel on the old city hall site in West Palm Beach.
“We have a hip, Millennial target downtown,” Navarro said. “And companies are going to where they can hire the best people.”
Some audience members chuckled and blurted out, “We’re hip and anti-Boca! A very cool place!”
All I can add is this: Mr. Navarro, there's this little City just south of West Palm Beach with so much potential. . .
