WPB mayor: “leave junk in trunk” at Boat Show

Last year’s SunFest and Boat Show, the mayor said, came before and after the fatal Boston Marathon bombing.

“We’re very sensitive to that issue,” she said. “All municipalities are. When we have special events, we need to make everybody safe.”

She also said the West Palm Beach police boat will be on hand.

“Some people think that after spending the day in the sun and in the bar, they can swim back to their boats,” Muoio said. “We had to rescue several people last year. So don’t do that.”
