West Palm Beach Golf Commission votes to knock down course...

The title displayed here is a  little misleading as it chops off the word "Clubhouse." There is some lamentation going on that the city spent a lot of money to improve the golf course in 2009, but did nothing about the clubhouse. Now, they are paying for that oversight. A new building will be expensive, but it seems as though there is the political will to do it. Click title for link.
The city has given up trying to save the clubhouse at the municipal golf course
and voted Monday to raze it. The vote by city commissioners, sitting as the city’s golf commission, was 5-0.
In August, the city ordered the clubhouse closed following a visit by Palm Beach County health officials to the course, which lies behind Forest Hill High School between Interstate 95 and Georgia Avenue.
