Have you seen the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) digital collections?

FAU has placed many unique Florida books, maps, photographs and newspapers online.

Researchers can access the collections, 24/7, via the FAU library website. Here’s a sampling of the collection:

Some cities, e.g., “Delray” and “Boynton”, later added the word “Beach” to their city’s name. Notice how Boca Raton was spelled.

This era was a historic and genteel rivalry between the “The Two Henrys”: Railroad tycoon Henry Plant on the west coast of Florida and Henry Flagler on “The East Coast of Florida”.
