TRNA | Clean-up & Updates
Howdy friends & neighbors!
TRNA Clean-up - Saturday, February 11th @ 8:30 am. Meeting at the Church of Nazarene on the corner of 2nd Ave North & D St. We will be mowing, weed-eating & picking up trash from the numerous abandoned lots dotted throughout the neighborhood. Although the Association has a mower & weed-eater, we would be grateful for anyone that has can bring additional equipment. Trash bags & bottled water will be provided! Please contact me with any questions.
Street Painting Festival Volunteers - Volunteers are needed for Friday (24th), Saturday (25th) & Sunday (26th) for the annual Street Painting Festival. You can download and print your application here. Once completed, please call or email me and I will be happy to pick it up. Alternately, you can drop it off to the Lake Worth Chamber. This is a wonderful event and really shows off the best of Lake Worth. I hope everyone can pitch in a few hours and make this the best Street Painting yet!
Shuffleboard Court Meeting - Monday, February 27th @ 6:00 pm. Meeting at the Shuffleboard Courts. Come on by and give your opinion on what you believe is the best use for the facility. TRNA supports keeping a minimum of 14 shuffleboard courts, having installations from the Lake Worth museum and offering activities for both adults & seniors. If you have some great ideas, we want to hear them!
Lake Worth Centennial - Did you know the City of Lake Worth will be celebrating it's 100th year? Come join a group of citizen volunteers who are planning fun and exciting events for the City's birthday. The next meeting is on Monday, February 27th @ 6:00 pm. Meeting is at Calvary Church - 301 1st Ave South and everyone is welcome!
NSP II Site - It’s Finally Here! The New www.lakeworthnsp.org website! The Lake Worth NSP2 Consortium is proud to announce the release of our newly designed website. By creatingwww.lakeworthnsp.org, interested parties can access current information regarding the Neighborhood Stabilization Program in Lake Worth. The Neighborhood Stabilization Program2 (NSP2) was established to stabilize neighborhoods whose viability has been and continues to be damaged by the economic effects of properties that have been foreclosed upon and abandoned. This site will provide the most recent accomplishments, events, updates on the Urban Arts Lofts (UAL) and the progress of homes being remodeled, as well as new construction. Potential homebuyers can log onto this site and view a listing of properties ready for rent or purchase, view eligibility requirements and download the necessary intake forms - all with a few clicks of the mouse. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to become a homeowner in Lake Worth. Thanks to Tracy Smith Coffey for the update!
