What happened to all the panic about the fate of the world in Lake Worth? Pay special attention starting at around the 1:00 mark in the video below. Lake Worth’s ‘conservative’ blogger makes a cameo supporting her Anarchist friends and allies in “The Struggle”:
Only thirty-three percent of voters statewide voted for Amendment 4. It needed over 60% to pass into law.
|Local governments like the City of Lake Worth would have been paralyzed if Amendment 4 had passed.|
Imagine life here in Lake Worth in perpetual election season. Never stops. The signs, mailers, and knocks at the door a constant fact of life. There are some people who like that idea. Imagine that.
When it comes to elections here in the City of Lake Worth we took a big leap forward. The referendum to increase the terms of mayor and commissioners from 2 years to 3 passed. We’ll have an election of candidates next year and another one in 2019. Then 2020 will be an off year.
Imagine that. A year off from elections. The people in the video above, The Obtuse Blogger (TOB), Cara Jennings, et al. were very much opposed to 3 year terms but the referendum passed easily. My position on the referendum was actually no position at all and advised people who asked just to do what they thought was the right thing to do.
I didn’t make up my mind until Election Day. And I think a whole lot of other people did the same thing. Remember things like Amendment 4 back is 2010.
Ultimately, elections are about a vision for the future and for others, it’s about having no vision at all, just endless upheaval and confusion.
