It turns out that the City of Lake Worth has no regulations concerning the maintenance of commercial properties. That's right - nothing it can point to that allows it to enforce standards related to the appearance of business and the buildings they're in. This was brought to light by the CRA's code enforcement person at the last CRA meeting. The City has the zoning code, which does not address maintenance issues and it has a housing code - that addresses only residential properties and structures. There is the ICC series of codes that do address these issues and it's in the works that this will be adopted - when is unknown.
Just a FYI.
