Comcast issues apology after viral service call | TheHill

Comcast customer service is its own special kind of hell. Click title for link to the apology from the ubiquitous cable company in response to this phone call that has gone viral. The customer wants to disconnect his service and the representative is obstructionist and gives him the "hard sell" on keeping Comcast.

Comcast has the WORST customer service EVER! I have been blatantly lied to so many times. WHat a joke!

Comcast service is excellent once you get up and running and their field techs are really good. But God help you if you need help from customer service. Their walk-in centers remind you of 1980s Russia. People standing around asking each other what the hell is going on. Comcast's growth clearly has outpaced their ability to service the customer after the sale.

Perfect example of why cable is losing market share.

Dropped cable for Direct TV a long time ago, recently added interwebs connections and Fire for even more choices. Everything from music and games to streaming movies, most of it free. And no customer service hassles.
