City Press Release about next week: “Community Involvement Meeting, Neighborhood Road Program”


On Wednesday, February 22nd and Thursday, February 23rd the City of Lake Worth will host a Community Involvement Meeting for the upcoming Neighborhood Road Program at 1121 Lucerne Ave. [City’s Annex] from 6:30–8:30. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the roadway projects that directly affect the residents and stakeholders located and to receive feedback on what improvements they would like incorporated into the projects.
  • The meeting on Wednesday, February 22nd concerns those in District 3. North M Street from Lucerne Ave. to 19th Ave. North (Wellesley Dr.)
  • The meeting on Thursday, February 23rd concerns those in District 3. North K Street from Lucerne Ave. to 9th Ave. North, North J Street from 13th Ave. North to 16th Ave. North, and 14th and 15th avenues North from North J Street to Dixie Hwy.
In November residents of Lake Worth voted to approve a $40 million bond to repair and improve City of Lake Worth roads. As part of the project the engineering firms and project planners will be meeting with residents and stakeholders to ensure the project meets resident’s expectations.
     In addition a citizen oversight committee will ensure all money from the bond is only spent on the Neighborhood Road Program.
