Are you one of those residents who drive outside the City of Lake Worth for your gas or diesel?

I’m not alone driving outside the City for gas. For far too long gas stations in Lake Worth have been under-maintained and not very “charming”. Because of unruly activity at some of these locations the City created an ordinance to end the sale of packaged alcohol after 10:00 at the urging of PBSO and many neighborhoods. The owners of these establishments are very unhappy about this but the reaction from the community has been overwhelmingly positive.

There’s more good news from a Lake Worth Herald last December: A new 7-Eleven convenience store is located at 5965 South Congress Avenue in Atlantis. This store has 8 gas pumps, 4 diesel pumps, open 24 hours and. . .

“The donuts are fresh daily” boasted Geloso [Grace Geloso, franchisee & owner/operator]. “We will have quality food and fresh hot coffee 24 hours a day.”

I usually buy gas at Costco. The price is often as much as $0.20 cheaper per gallon than what I find in the city of Lake Worth. The price difference needs to be $0.05 or less for me to not drive to Lantana. I use the GasBuddy app to check prices before heading out to fill up.
