If a protest happens and the media doesn't report it, is the protest "null and void"?

On Friday afternoon our friends at Everglades EarthFirst! (EEF) had a protest in Palm Beach Gardens. I know that from information leading up to the event. Then, yesterday, someone sent me this link. The link is to the Facebook page of a gentleman named "Todd Drips".

On Wednesday, I helped promote the EEF "rally" and you can read about that here. I also discovered some interesting information about the Gopher Tortoise (Gopherus polyphemus) and the Snowy Egret (Egretta thula). Worth a read if you didn't see it before.

Other than the pictures from 'Todd Drips', it has been a media blackout on EEF's protest in Palm Beach Gardens. Nothing in the Palm Beach Post or The Sun Sentinel. No TV stations showed up that I can find; no reports of their protest on Channel 5 (WPTV), Channel 12 (WPEC), or Channel 25 (WPBF). As of last night there is nothing in the Broward New Times either.

This lack of media coverage is a good thing. There is no THERE there to this story. Mr. Drips has this as the title of his montage on the EEF protest on Friday:
Has someone decided to change the name of the Briger Forest to the 'Breaker' Forest? Must have missed that memo. There are about fifteen pictures on Mr. Todd Dripp's page to view and I encourage their perusal. This one is my favorite, do you notice anyone familiar?:
Look real close at the picture, especially at the right of the frame. If you didn't spot the former two-term Lake Worth commissioner, here is some help:
Former Lake Worth commissioner Cara Jennings was in attendance. The protest was not well attended. Not counting children in tow, it appeared the number of protesters was ten or twelve. One of the protesters carried a sign that read, "F**K Urban Sprawl". A nice, pleasant message for all the children, and their parents, that attend the many schools and recreational facilities in the area. Not the kind of message likely to impress the residents of Palm Beach Gardens. So, the mainstream media did their job and chose to ignore this attention-getting display.
