Irony of Ironies

This letter from the Respectful Planning Lake Worth PAC was sent to all residents of Lake Worth Towers - which happens to be the tallest building in the city LOOMING over single family neighborhoods.  In fact, the building might be able to be seen from the Chair of the PAC's house - maybe even her backyard. Oh, my, the invasion of privacy!

The letter doesn't ask the question where those seniors would live if building heights were limited to 35 and 45 feet when the building was constructed.  By the way, both Palm Beach and West Palm Beach are older than Lake Worth and both exist on the Lake Worth Lagoon.

Wow. They sent this letter to the residents of the Lake Worth Towers? ..."is a group of civic-minded residents who have lived in Lake Worth for many years. We share the belief that the residents of Lake Worth should guide our city's growth." Be curious to know how the residents of the Lake Worth Towers would feel about Loretta Sharpe, an elderly, long time Lake Worth resident, and civic-minded activist, being called a "cancerous realtor" by the "Respectful Planning" group. Respectful? A long-time resident of Lake Worth, elderly, and fighting each and every day. Don't think the Lake Worth Towers residents will take too kindly to attacking senior citizens. But that's just me.

Us old fogies aren't that stupid. the letter was written on 2/20 and delivered just the other day. They must be worried the No vote might win. The fifth floor is all "NO" as far as I know. And "Dear Neighbor"? the only time I hear from you is when you want my vote. Vote NO!!!!!!!!

Nice breakdown of the letter's flaws Wes.
I'd like to add that what Ms. Dekker and Ms. Deli consider a good business model is actually based on their their emotion. Lake Worth's downtown is struggling, a faile dbusiiness model evidenced by the fact not enough businesses are willing to invest downtown. Lake Worth needs at least one hotel.

Thanks Roger.

Hope you are able to spread the word to the floors above and below.

"Visitors from near and far come to our downtown for its authentic, low key, low rise flavor." Very good, but you should warn these visitors that there is no lodging here. They may come here but they have to go to WPB, Palm Beach, or some other town to stay. The research is not just clear, it's common sense: most travelers eat two or more meals within two miles of the lodging and most don't venture far when drinking alcohol. But it's just so charming!

All tall buildings are protected by this referendum. What's your beef? You people would complain about the sun coming up.
