Please take a ride from South Dixie and 2nd ave south to the end. It is a major way for people to come into town with their boats, etc., and trucks for downtown deliveries. It is a mess, and we of the neighborhood were promised it seems at least six years ago, by then city manager Paul Boyer that the street was on the short list to be replaced. Sink holes are common. It looks a street in a slum. Lots of people get their impression of downtown on that street. Not a good thing
Hooray for the City, one in 5 Million fixed! You see how flat that is? See how long it lasts! When it sinks a bit from the traffic and a real hard rain, a another hole will start again. This road must have been oil sealed by Florida Highway Products years back So the warranty has run out! The man in charge of the operations in LW was the father of the one and only movie star Johnny Depp! John Depp SR.
So who is going to get the Pothole of the Week? I am shaking all over in anticipation!
