Message from the Downtown Cultural Alliance (DCA): Lake Worth- Our Bridge is Open

Make Lake Worth Your New Home Town

The Lake Worth Bridge to the Beach is open and thousands more than ever are making their way across it. Lake Worth, the Greenwich Village of the south and the Gateway to the Tropics, is home to the most eclectic variety of restaurants, the finest galleries south of New York City and the most unique shops in the entire county. With its hometown atmosphere, dog friendly restaurants, sidewalk cafes, news stands and strolling troubadours, the streets are always filled with friends and neighbors walking, biking and chatting.

Bridge closings no longer wreak havoc on residents of outlying communities. Lake Worth welcomes folks from Lantana, Hypoluxo and Wellington who now must find a new bridge to cross over the Intracoastal. They adopt you as Lake Worthers and want you to make their home, your home. Join in during the week for leisurely strolls through town, meet and greets with friends and strangers and snacks at 40 or more local restaurants. Stop on the way to the beach for the toys and trinkets you’ll need to keep your kids amused. Come back in the evenings for Evening on the Avenue every first and third Friday, the puppet shows, the vendors and the musicians. Show up on a Saturday for the Green Market by the beach and for the Second Saturday Sidewalk Sale.

Lake Worth is a family town and destination. The merchants and residents greet you with open arms. They are there to make your life a year long vacation. Lake Worth, the town where the sun always shines, the streets are lined with palm trees, the merchants welcome you with open arms and the citizens are always friendly.
