Gestrich - multiple jobs in Florida and Pennsylvania over last decade. Left Jupiter Island because he did not like to be held accountable and told what to do by elected officials. Left last job in PA before being fired, again not wanting to be held accountable. Cannot envision him lasting here. Talk to his former employers.

Titcomb - no municipal manager experience. Fired recently from North Palm and, oh, I already said it - no city manager experience. Worked for Florida League of Cities, not really the same thing.

Suggest the Commission readvertise with a real search firm and find a better batch of candidates. I know Colin Baenzinger and head hunters like him have the ability to recruit the best and brightest. Not using a firm was a mistake. What you are seeing is the best the ICMA Range Riders can deliver - a self serving group of unemployed and under-employed city managers. Since this is such a major decision for us, what is the harm in rejecting all candidates, going with a search firm, even if the 4 remaining candidates choose to reapply, the city is bound to get a better field of candidates.

Pam, Andy & Scott - pay attention, as you are about to make a grave mistake. The remaining 2 candidates could be a Trojan Horse for the progressives.

And why did Kroll run for the hills? Did the minority spook him with some of his "skeletons in the closet" ???

Agreed Anon, we should look at another round of applicants to ensure we are getting the best for this high priced position.

However if the "Fab Five" are going to pick from 4 left then they should lean to Bornstein.

Kroll, oh boo hoo. He wasn't qualified and that's why he bailed. Whatever will this commission do now if they find someone who actually is a manager and will stand up to da boss?

This commission will do what the previous commission couldn't. They'll hold the city manager accountable rather than being dictated to. Don't worry it'll work out great.
