Counties are banding together to find ways to rid brackish lagoons of muck - but it is going to be expensive. And what do you do with it once you dredge it. They think its existence causes harm to many species who depend on these waters for habitat. At last Tuesday's City Commission meeting, the city adopted fertilizer standards to be used by professionals that would help minimize nitrogen getting into the water which adds to the problem.
