Abandoned boats...
After scavenging and salvaging the attached componets and removing the cabins, the hulls can be re-used for a number of land based uses;
IF the hull is intact, then gel-coating the interior of the hull and add hole cut-outs for inlets and outlets for water circulation. Old hulls usually provide an excellent swimming pool once the hull is placed in the ground.
OR- partially bury the hull in the yard, and fill with potting soil for year-round non-decidious plants,
OR- use the hull as a garden pond with a solar-powered fountain in the center.
You can go as large or as small as you like, depending on the hull size.
Works great Down-Unda,...
Be wonderful having the abandoned boats removed from the view off Bryant Park. Cannot imagine how that could be so terribly expensive. Most of the boat, the one on the rocks can probably be dismantled in place and the hull winched to the shore. Anyhow, will be nice to get rid of the eyesores.
At the commission meeting wonder if Pinkie the Revisionist Blogging Clown will provide an update on the "purging of documents." She did accuse City Manager Bornstein and most of the higher level staff of misconduct if not outright criminal activity. Be nice to know the status and if an apology will be forthcoming. And, when will the Greater Bay back-up material be released? Am very interested in Happy Fingers' deposition as well as that of Cara Jennings and her lying under oath. Pinkies blog also contributed to the city's decision to settle the nearly $3 million settlement. Public comments should be very interesting tonight.
Michael Bornstein is doing an incredible job. Thank you for serving our city.
