Announcement - More on the Lake Worth Lagoon

Lake Worth Lagoon Draft Management Plan Listening Session
Hosted by Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management
The 2007 Lake Worth Lagoon Management Plan update will serve as a blueprint in managing and restoring the Lake Worth Lagoon in the next five years. The updated plan includes implementation of action items (Action Plans) that will require the concurrence and cooperation of a number of other agencies, including local governments, non-governmental organizations, South Florida Water management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Inclusion of these action items in the management plan represents a commitment on the part of Palm Beach County to partner with the other local, state, and federal agencies to ensure the necessary steps are taken to enhance, protect, and restore the Lake Worth Lagoon.
